    Durs Grünbein is considered one of the most significant writers to emerge from the former East Germany and his work has been awarded many major German and international literary prizes, including the Friedrich Nietzsche-Preis 2004 and the Berliner Literaturpreis 2006 and the prestigious Georg Büchner Prize.

    His selected poems Ashes for Breakfast was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2006. He was awarded the Order of Merit for Science and the Arts by the French in 2008 and the Order of Merit with Star of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009.

    The world's oldest symphony orchestra play the world's greatest symphonies. The Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig and Riccardo Chailly return to the Barbican as one of the International Associate Orchestras.

    This season their five-concert residency sees the orchestra perform a complete cycle of Beethovens Symphonies as well as five specially commissioned contemporary works written by some of today's most influential composers in response to Beethoven's music, including renowned German composer Steffen Schleiermacher.

    Due to popular demand our tournament takes place again at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire.

    The challenging and demanding landscape also provides exquisite views. The 27 hole course includes three nine hole courses Colt Alison and Jackson.
    Corporate participation and hospitality

    Hole Sponsorship is offered to member companies for corporate promotion at a cost of 100 pounds to include provision of a banner bearing your company logo. Companies are also invited to contribute to the prize giving with corporate promotional gifts if they so desire.

    Other Information

    The tournament consists of teams of 4 players.
    Buggies holding 2 people are available at a cost of 45 pounds each. Please reserve these when registering for the event.
    Play will commence at 08.00 am the afternoon session commences at 1.00 pm
    It is recommended that players arrive 30 mins before they are due to start.
    The Prize giving will take place at the venue after the tournament
