  • Zdenek Sykora Graphics Exhibition
    11 January 2011 at the Czech Center Brussels opening of an exhibition entitled Zdenek Sykora Graphics. The exhibition, which runs until 10 February is the main stage Sýkora printmaking in the 1961 - 2009.

    Director of the Czech Centre in Brussels Karel Peroutka says - It is my honor to launch a new exhibition at the Czech Center for just an exhibition of works by Zdenek Sykora who has gained recognition in Europe. Admirers of his work can be found among artists of all generations.

  • FOUR CZECH FILMS, TWO MONTHS, 10 UK DESTINATIONS!
    FOUR CZECH FILMS, TWO MONTHS, 10 UK DESTINATIONS! Already in its third year, Made in Prague, the biannual New Czech Cinema UK Tour, is a showcase of the best of contemporary Czech films, cherry-picked from festivals all over the world.

    This year’s selection consists of four films, ranging from WWII drama (Protektor), literary adaptation (The Karamazovs) and documentary (Katka) to contemporary road movie (Twosome) and presents works by directors Marek Najbrt, Petr ´Buttoners´ Zelenka, Helena Trestikova and Jaroslav Fuit respectively.

    Launching at the Glasgow International Film Festival on 22 February with the screening of Protector, the Made in Prague season will be seen in Aberyswyth, Bath, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hereford, London – Greenwich, Newcastle and Swansea, becoming part of the WOW, New Europe and Bordeline Film Festivals.

    Organised by the Czech Centre London in collaboration with Czech Film Centre and Picturehouse Cinemas.
